A Look at the Community of Centreville It has been said, "Centreville is in the centre of it all". I beg to differ. Quite to the contrary, Centreville IS the centre of it all! No matter what it is you look for in a community equal in size to Centreville, we've got it.
There are three churches within the village limits, including an Anglican church, St. Paul's United Church, and Centreville United Baptist. Beyond that, there are several more churches of various denominations in the areas surrounding Centreville. Centreville is a community driven by culture. We are well known for our participation at the provincial level in drama productions. In recent years, the Centreville School and our adult drama group have performed many plays written by Barb Dingee, a retired school teacher.
There are non-profit organizations in the community which work to serve the people. The Royal Canadian Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, Kinsmen & Kinnettes Club, Royal Purple, Elks, Women's Institutes, Co-Op Preschool and Access Centre all have homes in
Centreville. If you're in the area and want to play golf, Covered Bridge Golf & Country Club is just down the road in Hartland, about twenty-four kilometers from the village limit. What Centreville is really about though is industry. Per capita, we are by far the industry capital of New Brunswick. Large companies like Thomas Equipment, B. W. S., and Metalfab help to keep Centreville competitive! Lodging isn't hard to find near
Centreville. Quiet spots to stay are near by. Cedarbrook Bed & Breakfast is on the 560 just outside of Centreville, Tracey Mills Inn/Bed & Breakfast is between Centreville and the US border three KM from the flashing light in Centreville. Outside the area are The Florenceville Motor Inn, McNutt Bed & Breakfast along with Beachwood Motel which can provide rooms.
Our local schools play an important role in our community. They are filled with students recognized for both their academic and athletic leadership. Centreville Community School houses students who come from within the town limits and areas surrounding.
If you're looking for shopping, we've got that too! Locally owned stores provide much more friendly and personal service than large shopping centres and chain stores can. A large number of local entrepreneurs can provide you with the products and the services
that you need in a timely and mannerly fashion. Centreville boasts a branch of the Pioneer Credit Union, modern senior citizen residents as well as apartments. We've got a great ball park, public swimming pool, and tennis court.
Centreville really IS the centre of it all. From churches, to drama, to industry, to shopping, we have what it takes to serve our local residents, visitors, and neighbours. For more information about the village and the opportunities that it makes available to
